Getting The Download Manager Software
To Work In A Network
Fresno Builders Exchange members who are connected to a WAN (wide area network) or LAN (local area network) may have difficulties downloading publications with the C & S Publishing Download Manager. The e-News may not automatically download in to the “Library” tab of the Zinio Reader. This is due to “My Documents” location being modified to a network system folder. The following steps will correct this and make it possible to view all of your downloaded publications from the “Library” tab. These instructions apply to Windows XP users only.
1. Right click the Download Manager Icon that is in your system tray, next to your clock. It is a small white icon that says “C&S” in blue lettering.
2. Select “Options” from the menu that appears.
3. At the bottom of the options window it says “Store e-papers in:” and it shows the path to the folder that your publications are stored in. Click the button the right of the path that says “Browse.” This will allow you to define a new location for the download manager to store your publications at.
4. Another window will pop up. In that window, click the “My Documents” button that is on the left side. If that button is not there, you must pull down the “Look In” menu at the top of the window. Within that pull down menu you can select “My Documents.” Your “My Documents” might also be renamed to “YOUR USER NAME Docs.” An example of this would be “Bob’s Docs” or “Bob’s Documents.”
5. The contents of the “My Documents” folder should be displayed in the body in the window. Double click the “My Zinio Library” folder.
6. Click “Open” at the bottom right-hand side of the window. The window should now close.
7. You can now click “Apply” at the bottom of the Download Manager options window. Now click “OK”. The options window should close and the Download Manager is now configured to download to the proper location.
